Grouper around Dog Island

Jolly man and his family headed out for a day of bottom fishing. He came back with bad and good news. First the bad, did not have a gaff on the boat so he made his own when they pulled in a 30+ inch gag, he grabed the leader to pull the fish in and the leader snaps, with quick reflexs he grabs the fish in the jaw before it can get away but as he grabs it the hook in the fishes mouth jam's into his thumb. Now the good news, that grouper wasnt the only one he cought :).

Busy Week in Flagler County

Capt. C. Herrera over in Flagler county has had a very busy week. He has taken out several customers who came back very happy. One of his normal customers stoped in this week with a request to try and out do his all time record red of 30 inches. so Capt Herrera took him out to vilano hooked up with half a pogie and it wasnt long till he landed a 49 inch red. However these past few weeks we have seen bull reds everywhere, also seen a few trout, spanish, and the very rare flounder, but on a few trips Capt Herrera has put a few people on some flounder, as well as some snook. If you would like to contact capt. Herrera check out his web site at http://palmcoastfishing.com/. Finally here's a selected pic from those wonderful trips.
